The common element appears to be Apple Mail and/or MacOS X 10.5 Leopard. The common element here does not appear to be the Runbox IMAP server. Those reporting that the error message was 'no such mailbox' are most likely using another brand of IMAP server.
Those reporting that the error message was 'Error in IMAP command received by server.' are most likely Courier IMAP servers like ours. This problem appears to happen with different IMAP servers. They say that it starts to happen with no apparent reason and may happen on some servers and not others. I could stop storing the trash on the server as a workaround but it seems like a lousy one, especially since it was working fine until yesterday.įor all the reported problems they are using some version of MacOS X 10.5 Leopard. I've never encountered this error before even when running 10.5.1, 10.5.2, and for a month of running 10.5.3. Most users with the complaints had version 10.5.1 of the OS. The comments Geir posted by various users receiving the same messages are interesting, but I have my doubts that the problem is on the client end (in my case).
